31 Days of Community begins on December 1st and is 31 days of questions, writing prompts, and personal exercises about community. They are intended to help each of us explore what community means to us and how we can create more of it in our own lives.
Why am I creating this 31 Days of Community?
In the past few months community is a subject that has come up time and time again in the news, in personal conversations, and in online spaces. People have expressed a feeling that they don't have enough of a sense of community in their lives and that they don't know how to go about creating it.
As has occurred many other times in my life, when I see a need and feel that there is anything I can do about it, I will do my best to help. I have many years of experience in fostering community and helping others to create connection. I certainly don't profess to know everything about community building, but one thing I have learned is that is that it is often seen as a daunting task and that many people don't know where or how to begin going about creating it.
31 Days of Community is my attempt to help bridge that gap between having a desire for more community and taking steps to create it.
How do I become a part of this?
You can sign up with the form below. Beginning on December 1st your will receive a daily email from me with a question, writing prompt or other exercise that will help you explore this subject of community.
Once you sign up you will receive a confirmation email with more information and a link to a Facebook group where, if you choose to do so, you can share your responses to the questions and exercises. No one is obligated to join the group but it will be a way for each of us to share our thoughts, ideas and maybe create a little connection ourselves.
I do hope you will consider being a part of this exploration.
Note: After you register you will receive an email with more information on the 31 Days of Community as well as the Facebook group link. If the email does not arrive soon after registering, please check you spam folder. Thank you!
